Logwood tree
The beautiful spreading form of this tree is apparent. Its leaves are heart shaped and fine; its flowers are yellow and sweet.
This tree and many of its sisters have been cut down and burned as waste, while the land now sprouts expensive houses for foreigners.
It is our goal to salvage as many of these waste trees as possible, and to secure permanent titled land to grow a sustainable forest of logwood and other useful trees.
